Cabazon Band of Mission Indians Donates $40,000 to ABC Recovery Center

11747773_gThe Cabazon Band of Mission Indians donated $40,000 to Indio’s ABC Recovery Center on Wednesday, Sept 07, 2016 to help cover the costs of recent improvements made to the facility.

The donation was officially made during a ceremony Wednesday morning at the Fantasy Springs Casino’s Cabazon Cultural Museum.

The donation will help our recovery center following a host of recent improvements, which included hiring a licensed and board certified clinical supervisor as clinical director, hiring two new therapists, contracting with a psychiatric nurse practitioner to treat clients with mental health issues and creating a new online training program that will provide annual training for center staff.

“ABC Recovery Center has long been appreciative of its relationship with Fantasy Springs Resort Casino and the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians,” ABC CEO Chris Yingling said. “We are a nonprofit with little to offer the tribe from a business perspective. The council members’ recent decision to assist us financially in our transition astounds us and will allow us to `pay it forward’ to our community and those we serve.”

Thank you Cabazon Band of Mission Indians, your continued support will help us assist more patients on their path to sobriety!
